+slept in! YUSS.

+called a fellow asian and planned to meet up after lunch.

+met in Chatswood and went shoe shopping. We were supposed to find black

leather shoes for her to wear to work. She ended up getting pretty tap shoes. Not my

influence, trust me. ;)

+saw friends busking on the sidewalk. saxophone and guitar. sweet melodies.

+Took a train into the city. Caught a free ferry ride to Cockatoo Island.

+17th Biennale of Sydney on Cockatoo Island. Interesting art is all i will say.

+Shooed seagulls away from stealing our dinner. The birds here are scary and

aggressive. O.O

+Went to night school class. I have the best Night school class ever. Singing and

songwriting peeps are hilarious and creative :) Two more weeks left. It will be missed.

Saturday 10/7/2010

+Alarm rang at 6:45. Went to the airport to see my housemate off. She's getting a

tan somewhere along the Gold Coast. :)

+I love the CBD of Sydney. Walked around by myself and saw ladies in high heels and

business suits. Men in black carrying leather bags and talking one to a dozen.

+Explored ChinaTown and Paddy's Market. Bought charsiew pau. it made my day. :)

+Talked about God to my workmate. I think my Godstories are making him

rethink his beliefs. YES!

Friday 9/7/2010

+Woke up early and ran in the rain to catch a bus to Dee Why. Prayed that rain

would stop when we got there. It did!

+Walked to the beach and gazed at God's marvelous creations. He's awesome. :)

+Took a train into the city. Went to a Photography exhibition came out wanting to cry

for all the people who were pictured in the photos. People who suffered in Iran, people

who lost houses in the Melbourne fire, people who struggle just to live.

+Took a ferry to Olympic Park. First time on a ferry this year. :)

+Among thousands of people and together with thousands of people we praised and worshiped God for all He has done for us. :)

+Got to hear T.D. Jakes for the first time. He's the man! Preached about keeping the faith

and breaking generational curses.

+Ate pizza close to midnight at a bus stop. *shrugs* we were hungry.

+Pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast. Messy kitchens are fun. or rather making a

mess in the kitchen is fun. :D

+Went to Chatswood to meet up with Amy and Jeanette. Sushi is growing onto me. I

no longer hate it. Hmmm.

+Chatswood is the asian suburb of the Northern Beaches. Yes you can even get

Bubble tea and egg tarts there. Whenever I miss home, I go to Chatswood. :)

+Work was fun. Learnt how to make Kashmiri Naan. I have cool workmates.

+Rented movies and saw Stanzy working at the rentals. Fun times in the movie store.

I think we attracted more people cuz of our antics. :)

+FINALLY watched 500 days of summer! Quite the quirky movie. Watched a tweeny

movie as well; Angus, thongs and perfect snogging. too cute.

+Had a sleepover. Got mattresses and heavy blankets and heaters, camped in front of

the tele.

What are you up to this weekend? :) I am hanging out with a friend from college, working at night and going for a gig tomorrow! The gig tomorrow is going to be exciting as it's one of my lecturer's live recording gig! I can't wait to hear him live! :)

The days here are turning colder and the leaves are blowing off its branches, my house mates and I made a pile of leaves from our yard and jumped on it like little kids yesterday. Ahhh good times :)

Blue Mountains is a must visit when you are in Sydney! I went with mates from college and the ride there was as much fun as being there. :) Most places are best visited with family or friends or both ;) Though the forecast the day before said it would be sunny the day started out rainy and cold. Being C3 college students we prayed the rain away and when we reached the top of the Blue Mountains the dark clouds disappeared and sun rays warmed our faces. God never fails :)

The craziness up there was hilarious! People with green/red/orange dyed hair was common as daylight and vintage and antique shops were on every corner. Must be the mountains air ;)

We walked the trails and shopped the shops. We ate our home packed food in the car park and played badminton in the church yard. We sang silly songs and remembered old boybands. I had a good time, three cheers to friends :)

Ok, so here's the deal. It's mother's day tomorrow and you're probably running on the same old trick of getting her a card and going for a family dinner at night. Nothing against that and you should do it but why don't you include something different to your mother's day program this year? Here's a few ideas:

Clean up the house for her, if you don't have a maid this one's a winner.

Make your own card, or rather print a really nice one.

Breakfast in bed! You sure want to give her a good start to the day!

Get an idea from here and make her something.

Ahoy there! What are you wonderful people up to this weekend? :) I'll be working all weekend and skyping with the parentals and friends. Though I start classes again this Tuesday, i'm not going to attend any parties or host any myself. I will be nice just working and spending time with myself.

I really can't wait to head back to college and get into classes again! One thing I am NOT looking forward to it is having to wake up at 7am every morning. Thankfully I live close to college and won't have to wake up any earlier than that. This term is going to be really exciting as Cafe Live is starting! Cafe Live is when the creative faculty put up recitals, jazz nights, skits and dance performances. Watching my friends perform is going to be oodles of fun! And of course you will be treated to hundreds && thousands of pictures. ;)

Hello sayangs :) How has you week been? Are your plans for this weekend exciting or relaxed? I've had an exhausting week, I was so tired that I fell asleep at my computer while doing assignments! Owh well, one more week and then it's term break!! I'm looking forward to sleeping in, reading books and hanging out with mates.

My plan for this weekend is to finish up all my assignments, prepare for Kids church at which i'm sharing this weekend (psst we're learning about Superheroes! we're going to have oodles of fun!) and go to work. Right now i'm baking some coconut cupcakes to take to church for my team tomorrow, hopefully my hungry housemates don't eat them up first!

How is everyone?? I've been absent from the blog world for so long! Well lets catch up.

College life is pretty awesome. :) Meeting heaps of new people and taking notes ; listening to lectures and cooking my own meals.

Living on my own in a different country is amazing. Yes i miss my parents and siblings but being independent here is changing me in so many ways. I have learnt to plan ahead, set budgets and get enough rest.

Oooh cooking my own meals has been interesting though. I am so used to helping my mom cook for 5 people that now cooking for one person is really weird. OH! and buying groceries! Gosh I didn't know that groceries were so expensive. This has really made me appreciate my parents and how they are always paying for everything without a complaint.

Friends! OH! I miss my saturday after-LYPG-breakfast/lunch with LYPGians!! I miss sunday after church lunch with all the youth!! I miss going out on friday nights to Jonker!! I miss texting you all!

But I love the weather here the people here and the atmosphere. :) Hope thats enough of an update!

Hello darlings, what are you doing this week? I've been jetsetting and busriding and carsitting so much this weekend! And i've discovered I really really dislike taking plane rides. Until I get to fly business class, I won't get onto another plane unless that was the only way of travel.

ANYWAY. I'M HERE IN AUSTRALIA!!! I am so super excited for Monday! Orientation camp is on for two days and I can't wait to meet everyone! :) So finally I am a college girl ;) helooo classes. lectures. sem mates. My weekend is full, went out with my sister this morning, dinner with a friend tonight, and later tonight a farewell party. Tomorrow's filled up as well! But I still have enough time to rest and get used to all this.

iknowiknowiknowiknowiknow!!!! I'm super excited but i'm also super scared! I was packing yesterday and found it horribly hard to pack 20kg of clothes for 10months! Not an easy feat I tell you but I accomplished it! Thursday and Friday was spent rushing around town to get my visa done, of course i squeezed in shopping. So so give me your blessings and forgive my lack of posts for the next few days.

Hello sweets! What have you planned for this weekend? A mystery outing? A dinner date? Songs around the TV with a little microphone? ;) It's so funny that both Valentine's day and Chinese New Year are synonymous with the color red and that they're falling on the same day this year :)

Though the weekend had a cloud over it because of the death of Alexander McQueen, my favorite designer, I decided to put up my chin and enjoy the best of it. I'll be super busy this weekend, since it's Chinese New Year. I didn't eat lunch today so that i'll have lots of space in my tummy for a huge dinner tonight! In fact every night till Tuesday i'll be attending a Chinese New Year party. Looks like I can kiss my skinny jeans goodbye! :) And since it's Valentine's Day tomorrow i've found lots of sugary links to share with you!

Yesterday my gang and I went out for a movie, flew a kite and walked to Jonker. We watched Valentine's Day! Ha. It's not a fantastic movie but its sweet and nice enough to want to watch. :)

Went to a funfair last wednesday with me mates. Had awesumm fun. I'm sure we were the party of the crowd. :) There was one sick ride though, sick as in headache giving. I was still dizzy from that ride 10 later. But the bumper cars and the turn me upsidedown ride was awesumm!

How has your week been sweetkins? It's been pretty busy on the home front, lots of work to do for my dad and i'm still working on the project. I still don't have any updates on my studies but I know it will come soon. I'm just living one day at a time, the best way to live. :)

Trust is a tricky word and a tricky feeling. Trust trust trust trust. ooohh boy.

Been reading up my camera manual again (it's the only manual i've ever read and will ever read) and it's so informative! I know, I'm sure you're rolling your eyes at this because thats the whole purpose of a manual! But seriously, how many manuals have you read? I really really like to figure things out myself, play around with the gadget and work it out. And i usually figure it out in 5 minutes. I got lots of raised eyebrows from my family when i read it, i should do it more often, freak them out more. ha.

How was your weekend sweethearts? I had an awesome awesome weekend! Photos soon, we went for the first night of Sydney Festival, it had free shows the whole day!

Acrobats, dancers, BMX bikers, singers, country, water, food, bands, sun, guitars, heat, jazz, and us. :) It was 30deg that day, so everyone had heas of sunscreen on, carried umbrellas, wore hats and drank lots of water. The funny thing about Sydney is that yesterday was hot, today its cool tomorrow it rains. Weird weird weather.

Pictures from NYE. We had free cotton candy and ice cream for everyone! The rides and slides were free too! After the countdown there were streamers and balloons and confetti EVERYWHERE! They put dance music on and EVERYONE started dancing! Best new year's start ever. And of course the amazing fireworks! ;)

Wow, twentyten! Yikes! I have mixed feelings about this year. I have to make BIG decisions this year, but it sounds promising. :) I thank God so much for 2009. It was without a doubt an amazing year. I gained SO many new friends, who have been such a joy in my life (you still are!) and if you are reading this right now (sorry i can't type all your names, it would take forev), THANK YOU for calling me, texting me, facebook-ing me, emailing me and just making sure i was alright, for praying for me, and walking alongside with me. But special thanks to Charmain, Lara and Marcus. :) i love you so much! you've been such amazing prayer partners, buddies, and you're always there for me! I speak blessing into your new year. :)
2009 has been a wonderful learning experience. thePlan09, (if there is a thePlan10 I seriously encourage everyone to go for it, it's life changing!) FWP2, MYPG, church, dance, family and friends. I learned to forgive and forget, share, be wise with money, trust God, wait on God, and to be still in His presence. I know 2010 will be even more amazing.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New year's day. I watched the Sydney fireworks from on top a hill and it was amazing! I love the fireworks that shoot up into the air and kind of spray down in a shower. Christmas was awesome. Started out OK, I didn't feel christmas-y at all. But then after church we went to a friend's place for lunch which turn into tea and then dinner! Yes they were Malaysians. ;) Didn't get much presents but thats alright because Christmas is not about presents but about the love of Christ shared with others. As they say 'Jesus is the rizzle for the sizzle!' ;)

it's almost christmas

As i write this my nose is stuffy and my legs have rashes on them. No i'm not sick. Thanks for the concern ;) just adjusting to the weather. This is my first post out of Malaysia and i miss it SO much. I miss the way it smell, I miss the sky, I miss the people, I miss the food, I miss the way it feels. When you are away from home, your body knows it even though your mind didn't tell it. My body clock is all haywire, or maybe it even gave up. i've changed time zones and the hands of my watch so many times in the past 20 days that i've almost forgotten what time it is in Malaysia. No, i'm not complaining, i'm just giving you the bad side of a holiday. The smelly planes, the rude taxi drivers, the cold faces starring back at you along the sidewalk. i've flown in 6 different planes, sat in 4 different cars, slept in 5 different beds in the span of 20 days.

BUT i've seen beautiful skies, massive clouds, clear blue seas, clearwater creeks, green green green grass, silly sheep, black;brown;white cows, elegant horses, and magnificent mountains. I stared at the never ending Canterbury Plains, I gaped at the deep yet clear blue waters in the Northern beaches in Sydney, I laughed at the Hillsongs wonderful Christmas Spectacular, and I thanked God when i saw all these. And smelly plains, stinky cars and hard beds can't make me not want to do it all over again. :)

Well for aussie time it's 10pm and i've got to go to bed to get up early for church tomorrow. Sorry for the few photos i'll post up more tomorrow when i've downloaded them off my camera (i've got 1790 more photos to download =.=") Have a wonderful sunday peeps!

Well well well! My holiday is finally here! Or as SueAnn says,its the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. :) This will be my last post from Malaysian soil until i come back. Which will be close to two months later.
That aside, my dad bought me a camera! Its a semi-pro Canon 1000D! Im over the moon,over joyed and everything else.:) I got my SAT results back. Not what i was aiming for,bt its ok now.

Do hard things

I'm a teen, and most of you who read my blog are pretty young. And being young has a good and bad side, the good is that we have the energy, spirit and passion to do anything. Anything we put our mind to, we can accomplish. The bad, we always mess it up because we're not committed,we give up too easily, we don't stick and finish the task. Because of that our most of parents, teachers and elders have very low expectations of us. They have given up expecting great things from us. Can we change that? Do you want to? I know I do, I want to make them proud of us. I don't want to be called 'just another teenager with nothing better to do than hang out at malls'. I'm sure i'm supposed to do great things NOW, not when i'm an old stuffy grandma.

The Rebelution encourages this, us youth to stand up and do something about our predictable teen culture. I'm not going to talk about the Rebelution today, but rather an article they posted up. It's a story of two girls who raised 2,500 by served a spaghetti fundraising dinner. All the proceeds went to World Vision who then will fund wells for villages so they have clean water.
How inspiring is that?!? Oh did i mention that the two girls were only 17?! I feel so ashamed that I am going shopping spending my money on useless things when there are people who don't even have clean water. And I know, I have seen people living without clean water in Thailand.
I hope today you will think twice about where you put your money. And if you are a teen, show low expectations you can do so much better.

You know how you think all your work is done and over? Then you turn around and find another HUGE pile of work behind you...? Well, last week was like that. After my SAT ( it went well btw) I thought I could sit back and watch TV the whole day. But I had to : Iron, sweep, mop, clean my room, go through ALL my school books and put them away, clean my wardrobe, and whole ton of other things. Ha.
So finally this week I get to relax. I've painted my nails after six months of neglect. I know all my form 5 friends are looking forward to after the 8th of Dec. ;) You'll get through it! All the best for this wednesday! I know God has a plan for you, and do you best.
I had a total bum-out time today. I woke up at 11:30! I've never done that before. And i woke up because my younger brother started banging on my door, otherwise i might have slept till longer. I ate so much today, and now i feel like eating chicken rice. weird.

I hope to go ou with as many friends as i can this week and next, cause it's my last week here till I don't know when. So ring me if you wanna go out! I'm free almost all day :D

It's a lovely weekend sweets. :) It's going to rain soon, just perfect. I'll curl up in my bed with my math book. :) Exams are next Saturday and after that I have a LONG list of things to do, eg clean my room. I can't remember if my room floor is tiled or not... hahahah. No it's not that bad. But my hair is bad! I need a haircut. All this after SAT. Yeah babeh.

What have you got up your sleeves this weekend huh? Besides studying, my parents have agreed with me that I have been working hard and, I've got a fundraising dinner to go to and of couse LYPG ;)

An interesting article for you to read here, it's about whether Christians should celebrate Christmas.
For me Christmas is not pagan or anything, rather its a time to celebrate Christ's birth. We don't have any other day to celebrate His birth. I know some people think it's wrong and it's like idol worshiping but let's chill la. I think if you know the reason you're celebrating Christmas and that reason is probably to celebrate Christ then it's OK. As long as we're not committing sin.

Ahhhh... It's been a busy week. 22days till SAT. So I've been studying my books more than this screen. I hope you've had a good week and an even nicer weekend. :)
I won't waste your time telling you of my horrible math problems and killer writing essays.

Last Saturday we saw an amazing sunrise. Ok, i know every sunrise is pretty amazing. But this time we were up early enough to see it. Hahahah. Charms purposely drove slowly even stopping once, on the new highway so that we could take photos and get a better view. Thinking back, any car passing us might have thought us crazy. Ohwell, better to enjoy God's marvelous artwork than cower in embaressment.

eco friendly?

Okay okay, I know my post titles aren't the most imaginative titles. But really how eco friendly are you? As some of you know, my 16th birthday party was a 'go green' party. All my guests had to dress up in clothes made of recycled stuff or wear green! I had paper plates instead of plastic and since I ordered Indian food, everyone ate with their hands! Thus not using plastic forks and spoons.

Sublet, is a clothes brand that supports going green! The materials they use help our world. Now i know you're thinking 'man the clothes must feel/look/smell horrible!'. Since our idea of 'going green' is using old stuff to make new stuff. BUT the clothes that Sublet's owners have come up with are beautiful! Stuff you might find in F21 or Topshop! The clothes are not really my style, but hey they're gorgeous anyway! =]

I am not a hero. I have not done anything worthy of being called a hero. To me the word 'hero' means someone who has done something great! So great that it changed someone's world. The deed done might have been courageous like saving a life, or it could have been inspiring like standing up for what is right. It does not matter where the person comes from or whether he has a rank or title. Everyone has a hero. Big or small. Someone they look up to and remember forever. It maybe a baseball player, doctor, singer , parent or even your school janitor.

I have a hero. I did not do anything worthy of being saved. He is loving, kind, strong and marvelous. I on the other hand, I'm unloving, unkind , weak and not at all marvelous. He inspired and changed my world all the same. His name is Jesus.

Isn't God amazing? :D I say he's the best-est thing
that has ever happened to me. Ohyea sure, you say and
roll your pretty eyes.
But I say life is a bed of roses, because roses though beautiful,
soft and perfume-y still have thorns on them. ;)
