Do hard things

I'm a teen, and most of you who read my blog are pretty young. And being young has a good and bad side, the good is that we have the energy, spirit and passion to do anything. Anything we put our mind to, we can accomplish. The bad, we always mess it up because we're not committed,we give up too easily, we don't stick and finish the task. Because of that our most of parents, teachers and elders have very low expectations of us. They have given up expecting great things from us. Can we change that? Do you want to? I know I do, I want to make them proud of us. I don't want to be called 'just another teenager with nothing better to do than hang out at malls'. I'm sure i'm supposed to do great things NOW, not when i'm an old stuffy grandma.

The Rebelution encourages this, us youth to stand up and do something about our predictable teen culture. I'm not going to talk about the Rebelution today, but rather an article they posted up. It's a story of two girls who raised 2,500 by served a spaghetti fundraising dinner. All the proceeds went to World Vision who then will fund wells for villages so they have clean water.
How inspiring is that?!? Oh did i mention that the two girls were only 17?! I feel so ashamed that I am going shopping spending my money on useless things when there are people who don't even have clean water. And I know, I have seen people living without clean water in Thailand.
I hope today you will think twice about where you put your money. And if you are a teen, show low expectations you can do so much better.

elated ;)

You know how you think all your work is done and over? Then you turn around and find another HUGE pile of work behind you...? Well, last week was like that. After my SAT ( it went well btw) I thought I could sit back and watch TV the whole day. But I had to : Iron, sweep, mop, clean my room, go through ALL my school books and put them away, clean my wardrobe, and whole ton of other things. Ha.
So finally this week I get to relax. I've painted my nails after six months of neglect. I know all my form 5 friends are looking forward to after the 8th of Dec. ;) You'll get through it! All the best for this wednesday! I know God has a plan for you, and do you best.
I had a total bum-out time today. I woke up at 11:30! I've never done that before. And i woke up because my younger brother started banging on my door, otherwise i might have slept till longer. I ate so much today, and now i feel like eating chicken rice. weird.

I hope to go ou with as many friends as i can this week and next, cause it's my last week here till I don't know when. So ring me if you wanna go out! I'm free almost all day :D

Happy Weekend!!

It's a lovely weekend sweets. :) It's going to rain soon, just perfect. I'll curl up in my bed with my math book. :) Exams are next Saturday and after that I have a LONG list of things to do, eg clean my room. I can't remember if my room floor is tiled or not... hahahah. No it's not that bad. But my hair is bad! I need a haircut. All this after SAT. Yeah babeh.

What have you got up your sleeves this weekend huh? Besides studying, my parents have agreed with me that I have been working hard and, I've got a fundraising dinner to go to and of couse LYPG ;)

An interesting article for you to read here, it's about whether Christians should celebrate Christmas.
For me Christmas is not pagan or anything, rather its a time to celebrate Christ's birth. We don't have any other day to celebrate His birth. I know some people think it's wrong and it's like idol worshiping but let's chill la. I think if you know the reason you're celebrating Christmas and that reason is probably to celebrate Christ then it's OK. As long as we're not committing sin.
