wooza! its the most auspicious day of the century! do you realize it''ll never be this day again? never have this date again...
how fast time flies and how scary too...
exactly 6 months ago i would be stepping off a plane from Melbourne, but yet it seemed just like yesterday. so fast? it's already 6 months that I've been back from my life changing trip to Ozzie land. as thinking of all the shopping i did, the laughter i laughed, the smiles i smiled, the glares i glared at my cousins, the reunions of reunions, the jet lags of jet lags.
And they all seem so near yet so far.
i now list/say/recall everything as "before oz and after the oz trip'. LOL.
but it's true! i do that. annoying as it is for my parents.\, my mom once said " i'm not so sure now if sending you there was such a good idea".... hhahahahahahaha. sigh, have i really changed that much? isn't it better?
i miss my cousins, they were the highlights of my trip(okayyy and the shopping). but imagine not seeing someone you call family for 6 years.. that was how it was with us, we'd never seen each other in years. they lived 8 plane hours away and we're not exactly rich.
seeing new places has all been my joy. i LOVE adventures and mysteries....something to do with atha christie... i've always been a daredevil. LOL. i climbed a tree and went out to its longest branch which was hanging over a very shallow creek in oz, if i fell, well, let's say i probably wouldn't be walking today... i was the first one to go on the "scariest" slide in Sugar World water park. wanted to go bungee jumping but no money :/, i walked out of a house we were staying in and just walked and walked and walked and found my way home! mind you that was my 2nd day staying at that house. we stayed in 8 different houses in 3 months. hence my blog title "8 beds" i slept on 8 different beds in 3 months.HA! an accomplishment in itself :) can't put that on my CV tho.
goshh im jumping back and forth. sorry for those reading this, you'll think me very muddled up.
but in truth every night i make to-do lists and get everything ready for the next day.
anyway.... back 8.8.8
the Olympics is here. I think it's one of the most awaited ones. Ever. People are secretly thinking if China will make up to standards. They're thinking of all the myths of China and all it's short-coming and scary stories. But doesn't every country have that?
I was talking to Andrew who is staying in China now, about China and the progress it's made. He says that since the first year he was in china till now - which about 4 years - China has changed SO much. He said when they were first in China no one heard of "Pizza Hut" but now it's everywhere.
The world says China is the fastest developing nation. My uncle says China is a developing nations, Malaysia is a sometimes developing nation. -_-
I cant wait to watch the opening ceremony tonight. Cheryl says its something NOT to be missed. In China fireworks is an EVERYDAY thing, so imagine this, if they don't do something spectacularlly fantastic, some taukeh in China will start boasting about his fireworks and start booing them..
well, to the chinese have a great day celebrating/getting married/ giving birth. To the Malaysians in China win some Gold.
